How to Apply Mineral Makeup

Foundation and Finishing Powder

Tap a small amount of powder into the top and swirl your brush into it. Tap the bottom of the handle with the brush head facing upward on a hard surface (e.g. bathroom counter). This settles the powder into the brush head. Firmly buff powder on clean, moisturized skin to evenly blend pigments. Apply small amounts repeatedly until you achieve the coverage desired (as opposed to trying to buff in a lot at once).

For blemishes, a separate concealer is not needed. Use a shadow/concealer brush to apply small amounts to the problem areas then blend well with your foundation brush.

For those with dry or flaky skin, Sheer Miracle loose mineral foundation can be blended with moisturizer to create a cream foundation. First moisturize as usual and then tap a small amount of powder into the palm of the hand. Add a drop of moisturizer. Blend the two products together until a smooth, creamy consistency is achieved. Use your fingers or make-up wedge to apply.

Concealer

Dot concealer on under eye circles, blemishes and imperfections with fingertip or concealer brush under foundation. Buff on foundation over concealer as normal. Use sparingly. Only a small amount is needed to obtain the desired effect.

Blush

Loose mineral blushes are very concentrated and should be applied sparingly. The simplest way to apply them is with a tapered blush brush. Dip your brush so only a few crumbs of minerals are on the brush head.  Turn your brush over and tap strongly on counter to load blush into brush head. Then gently glide the color over the apples of the cheek, and blend.

Mineral Eye Shadow Pigments How to Apply Mineral Eye Shadow

Eye Shadow ~

Use any color from the Sheer Miracle collection as eye shadow. Simply dip an eye shadow brush into the desired color and apply to your eyelids. Choose a lighter color as a highlighter to apply under the brow and in the corner of eye by tear ducts. Use a darker color in the crease as a shader.

Blush ~

Our blush is pure pigment and very concentrated. Use just a few crumbs on a blush brush and buff on apples of cheeks then along the cheekbone. Blend well.

Eye Liner ~

Dip your liner brush into water then wet applicator into the desired color. Mix the powder and water together on the back of your hand or in a separate container to create a creamy liquid liner. Dip the eyeliner brush into the liquid and carefully apply to the upper and/or lower lids, staying as close to the lashes as possible.

Lip ColoHow to Apply Mineral Lip Glossr ~

Dip your lip brush into your clear lip gloss and then into the desired color pigment. Apply the mix to your lips and blend well. Add more powder to deepen the color.

 Body Shimmer/Highlighter ~

Use a powder brush and lightly touch it into the desired color. Dust the powder onto your shoulders, face, chest etc., for a healthy glow. This works best with neutral colors such as our Beige and Flesh.  Certain colors can also be used as shimmery bronzers (Goddess, Bronze, Chocolate Silk).
